Parachute is an extreme sport that consists in leaving a plane during the flight and returning to earth with gravity and protective equipment help, using a parachute to slow speed during the last part of descent. Our prachute jumps in Rio involve a certain amount of free fall.
 

Our tour happens in Resende city, which is 2 hours away (120 km) from Rio de Janeiro city. Its population is 124.316 inhabitants, and it is an important industrial, automotive, metallurgical and tourist center, and headquarters of the second largest military complex in the world (The Military Academy of Agulhas Negras - AMAN). The county has national importance and houses Brazilian Nuclear Fuels Factory complex, the only one capable of enriching uranium.
 

Before jumping, the instructor will talk about safety procedures with the passenger, so it is important to pay close attention to his advice on position and behavior during free-fall and before landing. After the jump, just relax and enjoy the free fall for as long as you can, as it lasts about 45 seconds. The fall occurs from an altitude of 4.000 meters (13.120 feet) and the view around is breathtaking, as immersion is absolute. The maximum speed you can reach is up to 200 km/h (125 miles per hour). No prior experience is required.
 

A LITTLE OF PARACHUTING HISTORY IN THE WORLD

History says that parachuting began with André-Jacques Garnerin, born on January 31, 1.769. In the French capital. He made the first parachute jump, with his invention, on October 22, 1.797, on Monceau park, in Paris, France. Accompanied by the crowd, the Frenchman got 1.000 meters down and touched the ground, but with some difficulty. However, the first real freefall jump with an unfolded operation is credited to Leslie Irvin in 1.919. First competitions happen in the 1930s, and the sport became international in 1.952.

HOW TO SCHEDULE YOUR PARACHUTE TOUR IN RESENDE

We only take this tour on weekends (Saturdays, Sundays and possibly Fridays or holidays).

We need at least two (2) people. If you are alone, join a group.

After completing, you will be directed to payment page and must pay the amount of R$625,00 per person (our reservation fee is 50% of the amount charged on the tour – per person).

Please read and agree to our terms and conditions, then click SUBMIT. Reservation must be paid by credit card (PayPal) or by account deposit (only for people who have a Brazilian account). The rest of the amount must be paid in cash, directly to the responsible guide at the tour beginning. We usually need at least 48 hours notice to schedule this tour. If the chosen date does not appear on our reservation calendar, send us an email requesting availability. If you wish to pay full amount in advance, we can send you an invoice via PayPal. Payment must be made no later than 72 hours before the tour date.
 

Every transaction will be charged with a 7% due to Paypal fee.
 

We do not operate this tour during Carnival season, on holidays sundays, December 25th, December 31st and January 1st.
